Rob had an area of the garden that wasn’t being used to its full potential. The brief was to transform this unused space into a stylish outdoor room where the family could relax, dine and entertain throughout much more of the year. By combining a premium Deponti glass garden room with composite decking, we created a contemporary outdoor living space that feels like a natural extension of the home.
The existing patio offered little shelter from the weather, meaning it was only comfortable to use on the very best days.
Rob wanted a space that would:
- Create an additional family seating and dining area.
- Maximise the use of an underused part of the garden.
- Provide protection from the unpredictable British weather.
- Maintain an open feel during summer.
- Complement the modern style of the property.
The available space was carefully measured to ensure the garden room felt perfectly proportioned to the property.
We designed and installed a Deponti glass garden room with full-height frameless sliding glass doors. During warm weather, the doors can be opened completely, allowing the space to function as an open veranda. When the weather changes, the doors can be closed to provide shelter from wind and rain while maintaining uninterrupted views of the garden.
Composite decking was selected for the flooring to create a clean, contemporary finish that is durable, low maintenance and comfortable underfoot throughout the year.
The result is an elegant outdoor room that seamlessly connects the house with the garden.
